Juanita (Crawford) Edgington, 73, of Kittanning, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011, in Armstrong County Memorial Hospital. She was born Aug. 16, 1938, in Kittanning, a daughter of the late Omer Clark Crawford and Nellie M. (Dunmire) Crawford. Nita attended the Brown School (a one room schoolhouse) then East Brady Junior High School and graduated from Kittanning Senior High School in 1956. During high school, Nita lived with her aunt and uncle, Bob and Edna Shearer, in West Kittanning. After graduation, she worked at PPG, Armstrong School District, Ringgold Corp and retired from Drug Plastics and Glass in 2008. She enjoyed the casino, gambling, Steeler football, Nascar Sprint Cup racing, talking with friends on the phone and computer. Survivors include her aunt, Jean Dunmire, of West Chester, Pa.; sister, Lois Fink and her husband, Joe, of Spring Church; sister-in-law, Sally Habblett; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Charles "Sonny" Edgington, who died April 20, 2007; stepmother, Thelma Lasher Crawford; nephew, Chuckie Habblett; and brother-in-law, Edward Habblett. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the SNYDER-CRISSMAN FUNERAL HOME, Kittanning. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev.
