SAMUEL ROCKHOLD FUNERAL

Had Been Living With a Son at Alexandria, Mo.

Funeral services for Samuel Rockhold, 77, formerly of Memphis, were held Tuesday afternoon in the Gerth & Baskett funeral home, conducted by Rev. W. E. Longstreth. Burial was in Memphis cemetery.

Music was provided by Mrs. C. C. McQuoid, Mrs. Richard Moore and Mrs. Virgil Chamberlain.

Mr. Rockhold, who had been living with a son, Moore Rockhold of Alexandria, died Saturday night at 8 in Graham hospital Keokuk.

He was born in Lewis county, March 7, 1872, a son of Dimmon and Martha Jane Fouts Rockhold. Other survivors include a son, Noah Rockhold of Granger and two daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Stice of Mission, Kans., and Mrs. Thirgie Clark of Dement, Ill.

His home was south of Wyaconda, where he lived nearly his whole life and reared a family. He and Bessie Mae Russell were married in 1900.

He is also survived by brothers, Isaac Rockhold of Kahoka, Peter Rockhold of Macomb, Ill., Alonzo Rockhold of Wayland, Edward Rockhold of Rock Island, Ill., and one sister, Mrs. Della Collins of Neeper, Mo.
