He served with the United States Army in Germany during the Korean War from October 1951 to September 1953. Mr kesler was united in marriage to Delores Howard on November 28, 1954. After their marriage, he worked for Ben's Service Station in Estherville, Iowa for 8 years before the family moved to Their present farm home east of Estherville whre he's farmed for 27 years. He worked for many years during the winters doing snow removal for individuals and businesses in the Estherville area. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Estherville, Iowa, lifetime member of the VFW, past member of the Emmet County Beef Producers, Emmet County Extension Board, past 4H leader and a past member of the Lincoln Central school board.
Mr. Kesler is survived by his wife, three sons, one daughter, four grandchildren, mothere, three sisters and several nieces and nephews. He has been preceded in death by his infant daughter, Rebecca, his father, and his grandparents.
