BOOTH Glenna - Greene Bevalac Booth died August 18, 2004, in Orange Park, FL. She was born February 25, 1928, in Jacksonville, FL to Ruth Leymaster and Aubrey M. Greene.

Mrs. Booth attended Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL and graduated from the University of Florida in Gainesville in 1953. She was associated with Stockton, Whatley and Davin of Jacksonville, Fl for many years prior to her marriage to John Newton Booth on March 25, 1967, and spent the remainder of her active life in Oklahoma City. From 1989-1992, Mrs. Booth served as National President of The National Society Women Descendants of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company. She formed a new chapter of the Daughters of the War of 1812 in Stillwater, OK, which is named for her Mayflower ancestor. She was very active and served as national and state officer in other and numerous patriotic, historical, and genealogical organizations. Mrs. Booth was also an active member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She and her husband, John, were avid tennis players and were members of The Oklahoma City Tennis Club. In 1971, she was ranked 3rd in Women's 40 singles in the state of Oklahoma.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Newton Booth, and her parents. She is survived by sister, Trilby Crews, of Glen St. Mary, FL, brother, Earl M. "Sam" Greene, of Northbrook, IL and cousin, Elizabeth Leymaster Moran, of Indianlantic, FL; three stepchildren: Ellen Booth Vester of Tulsa, OK, Lee Booth Sims of Ithaca, NY, and John Christopher Booth of Farmington, N.M. She is also survived by stepgranddaughters: Anne Luke Boozer, Margaret Luke Kobos, Hallie Jean Sims, Sarah Booth O'Neil, and Stephanie Barth.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 to 7pm and graveside services will be Saturday morning at 11 am under the direction of Guerry Funeral Home, Maclenny, FL (904/2592211). The family has r equested that memorial gifts be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, 1 N. Hudson, Oklahoma City, OK 73102 for Alzheimer's Research.
