Melvin's brothers were Forrest (older) and Richard (younger). He served in the U.S. Marine Corp in WWII. He married Alice (Alyce) Nora Rurka in 1947. They had 3 children: Christopher (1949), Melanie (1953), & Mark (1962). He died at home at 433 Earl Ct.; Elyria, OH and is sorely missed.
