Husband of 32 years to Cornelia "Connie" M. Scott, Son of the late Ollie Clide Scott Sr. and the late Fanny Johnson Scott. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors besides his wife include two daughters, Tammy McGee Brabham and Amanda Scott McKellips, both of Dalzell; two sons, Jason V. Scott and Jerry K. Scott, both of Dalzell; four sisters, Judy Taylor, Frances Ard and Kathleen Ryles, all of Sumter, and Dorothy Kitelinger of Bakersfield, Calif.; two brothers, Ollie Clide Scott Jr. and Melvin G. Scott, both of Sumter; nine grandchildren; his very loving mother-in-law, Blanche McGee; nephew, Chuck Ryles; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Bean.
