William L. Newingham, who was born in Schuyler county, Illinois, on July 29, 1873, died at his home at 337 West Eleventh street in this city, last Thursday afternoon, after a long illness. Mr. Newingham came to Kansas with his parents. When he was but seven years of age, they settled on a farm southwest of Concordia, and Mr. Newingham resided on a farm until several years ago, when he moved to Concordia.
He is survived by his wife, a son, Ernest, a daughter, Mrs. Earl Teasley, of Glasco and one sister, Mrs. S.A. Looney, of Los Angeles, California.
Funeral services were held at the United Brethren church, on last Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of the pastor, Rev. Baker. Burial was made in the Rice cemetery.
