W.W. Cook, a Cloud County pioneer, died at his home after a brief illness, just four days after he and Mrs. Cook had celebrated the 67 anniversary of their marriage on January 12th.
He was born in Schuyler County, Illinois, and was married there to Miss Adeline Dusher. After coming to Kansas as pioneers and settling in the Rice vicinity, they moved to Concordia in 1915. He was employed by the post office there, carrying mail pouches from the office to the trains.
He is survived by his wife, and three sons, Solon, James and Rox. A brother, Charles H. Cook, of Concordia, also survives.
Funeral services were held at the United Brethern Church at Concordia, with burial in the Rice cemetery.
Mrs Ralph Batchelor of Glasco is a granddaughter, and until her marriage had made her home with her grandparents. Mrs. Rufus Gray, also of Glasco, is a niece.
