Bertie (Story) Gabbert
Bertie (Story) Gabbert, 94, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 1999, in Greenwood. She was a resident of Greenwood.
She was born Aug. 10, 1905, in Byrdstown, Tenn. Her parents were Joseph E. and Mary E. (Clark) Story. She married Lester Gabbert. He preceded her in death in 1989. Survivors include two daughters, Mary Martin of Anderson and Sharon Roberts of Greenwood; two sons, Jeff Sells of Indianapolis and Charles Burgess Greenwood; a sister, Lillie Amonette of Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and a member of Parkway Assembly of God.
A funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at G.H Herrmann Funeral Home, Greenwood Chapel. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood.
