CLIFFORD H. ALLARD

Clifford H. Allard of Watertown was buried from the home of his sister, Mrs. C.W. Jamerson, Sunday, June 20 at 2 o'clock, p.m., He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Allard and was born in Sandy Creek November 15, 1876 and died June 18, 1909. He was married seven years ago to Miss Bertha Lettau of Burlihgton, Iowa, where he was a trainman on the B.C.R.& N. railroad. He has made his home in Watertown the past six years. He made friends wherever he went, and people knew him to like him. He leaves to leaves to mourn him besides his wife, two children, F. Clayton, aged five years, and Marion aged one year, his father, mother and sister. His death comes as an extremely hard blow, as only eight years ago the other son, Clayton, was shot down in the Philippine Islands. His funeral was largely attended by friends. The male quartette of the M.E. church sang, and Rev. Hyden had charge of the service. He was laid to rest in the family plot in Woodlawn cemetery.
