RITES JUNE 29 FOR JOHN SIMPSON
John Fayette Simpson, son of John and Winnie Simpson was born March 28, 1918 at Hastings, Iowa. He died June 26, 1982 at Bishop Clarkson Hospital in Omaha.
He received his educations in Red Oak schools.
John was in the Army serving his country in World War 2. He was maintenance man and pipeline for Natural Gas in Red Oak and Emerson. He joined Natural Gas in 1942 and retired with 33 years of service.
He was a member of the American Legion of Emerson and Humanity Lodge No. 378.
On June 9, 1937, John was united in marriage to Ena Mae Robbins. He is survived by his wife, Ena Mae, two daughters, Mrs. Darrell (Franette) Plumb of Lincoln, Nebraska and Mrs. Ronald (Sue Ann) Good of Owatonna, Minnesota. his mother, Mrs. Winnie Gamble, one sister, Mrs. Ella Mae Conrad of Emerson; four grandchildren, Robin, Scott, Troy Plumb, and Roddy Good.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother and one sister.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, June 29, 1982 at the Hastings Cemetery.
Rev. John Crosswhite officiated. Mansfield-Hertz Funeral Home, Malvern, was in charge of services.
Pall bearers were Donald Chase, Donnie Chase, George Hascall, Joe Larson, Fred Hembry, and Richard Erb.
