87, of Winchester, husband of Dorothy Estes Sharp, passed away on Wed., Oct. 12, 2011 at his home. Mr. Sharp was born in Winchester on Oct. 30, 1923 to the late William Andrew and Pearl Eades Sharp. He was retired from the Lexington Bluegrass Army Depot and was a U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his son, David (Ruth) Sharp of Knoxville, TN; daughter, Peggy Sharp (Ronald) Parido of Winchester; 3 grandchildren, Allison Sharp of Knoxville, David (Kristen) Sharp of Birmingham, AL, and Kevin (Sara) Parido of Winchester; 5 great grandchildren, Rosemary Sharp, Samuel Sharp, Lukas Parido, Liam Parido, and Landon Parido; brother, Arthur (Iva) Sharp of Winchester; 2 sisters, Alma Jones and Edna (William) Witt of Winchester; and a special friend, Kim Kerr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Sat., Oct. 15 at Scobee Funeral Home by Rev. Jimmy Clark. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alan Jones, Robert Jones, Jack Jones, Arthur Sharp Jr., Steve Sharp, William Sharp, Gary Witt, and Glen Witt. Honorary pallbearers will be Gloria Tyler, Geneva Bryant, Wanda Sampson, Barbara Brogle, Brenda Parido, and Kim Kerr.
