Singer. Born in Paris, France, he was a popular French recording artist from the 1930s to early 1960s. Some of his best works included "Ménilmontant" (1936), "Adieu Léonard" (1943), "Bagarres" (1948), "Boum sur Paris" (1954), "Jusqu'au dernier" (1957) and "La Planque" (1961). He also sung and acted in over 20 French films. He died in Paris, France at the age of 71.
