Johannes was the grandson of Martin Hauser (1696-1761) and Maria Margaretha Schaffer (1702-1775) who both came from Alsace area in Europe first settling in Pennsylvania, then moving to Bethania, NC and are both buried in Bethania God's Acre.
Johannes's wife, Maria Magdalena Boeckel, is buried in Bethania, God's Acre cemetery by the Moravian church there. It is assumed that Johannes never joined the Moravian church like his wife and her parents, Johann Nicolas Boeckel and Maria Barbara (nee Moll) Boeckel.
According to Forsyth Co. Genealogical Society Cemetery Census, directions to this old cemetery (not at the site of the current church) are: Follow Seward road past the current location of Doubs Chapel United Methodist Church and turn east on Balsom Road, then south on Kilmurray Hill Road. Take first right on Johannes Lane (gravel road), then first right on Blueberry Lane (gravel road). Cemetery is on north side of road in about 0.1 miles.
There are at least 24 graves marked only with a brick or a field rock. The cemetery is no longer active. Surveyed and photographed by Bill Mueller and Thomas McLain for the Forsyth County Genealogical Society in November 2016.
