Mrs. Mazie Bamma Parker Thigpen 94, passed away Saturday, Aug 28, 1999, at the Florence Comprehensive Care Center.
The funeral service will be held Monday, Aug 30, 1999, at 2 pm at Elkins East Chapel funeral Home with Ronnie Ray and Fred Dillon officiating.
Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery, Elkins East Chapel directing.
Mrs. Thigpen was born on Sep 3, 1904, and lived all her life in Center Star.
She was a charter member of the Center Star Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond L Thigpen Sr. sons Elbert Paul and James Berlyn Thigpen. parents Clark and Edna Parker, brothers, Luther J. Parker, Floy Parker, and John Henry Parke, and a great-grandson Jeremy Shane Thigpen
She is survived by 2 sons Cecil A. Thigpen, and Raymond L. Jr Thigpen of Rogersville,
One daughter Edna Wylodean Hill, Center Star, 3 sisters Elizabeth Gross, Mattie Lo Gooch, and Gertrude Hester all of Center Star. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
