The funeral for Herbert Douglas Parker 79, will be at 11 am today at Elkins East Chapel, Center Star, with Charles Kretzer and Bill Lyons officiating.
Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
He died Tuesday, Sept 27, 1995, at Medical Center Shoals, Muscles Shoals, after a brief illness.
He was a native of Lauderdale County, ab racer for 50 years, a member of Plain View Church of Christ, and owner and operator of Parkers Barber Shop, Killen.

Survivors include his wife Evelyn A Parker, Killen n, daughters Betty Gail Williams, Florence, half-brothers Hassel Glover, Chi Parker, Doyce Parker, Elgar Parker, Alton Parker all of Killen, Malcolm Glover, Harold Glover both of Greenhill, Paul Glover, Florence, half-sisters Oleen Handback, Muscle Shoals, Dorothy Parker Davis, Killen, one grandchild.
