Winthrop A. Bushong, 70, of 871 Riverside Drive, Portland, died April 1 at a Lansing hospital. He was born Oct. 15, 1919 in Pewamo, the son of Thomas and Ida May (Stiles) Bushong.
Bushong owned and operated a gas station in Pewamo for many years. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Portland VFW Post 4090.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes; three sons ...; two daughters ...; nine grandchildren; one brother, ...; and two sisters ...
Rosary services will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Neller Funeral Home in Portland. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Portland St. Patrick's Church. The Rev. Jake Gensterblum will officiate. Burial will be in the Portland Cemetery.
