Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, at West Main Baptist Church for James T. Ham, of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Ham, 85, died Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Artesia General Hospital.

Jason Kraft officiated at the services. Cremation has taken place.

J. T. was born July 6, 1926 in Texon, Texas; the son of Howard Ham and Laura Bradley Ham.

He honorably served his country in the United States Navy. He was a longtime employee of Navajo Refinery and was a member of West Main Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; by a son Mark Ham; and by two sisters.

Survivors include a son Randy Ham of Port O'Connor, Texas; a daughter Donna Juckes of Roswell; brothers Bob Ham of Artesia, and Frank Ham of Wolford, Texas; a sister Betty Cockrum of Yucaipa, California; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
