Frank R. Adams, Sr., age 77, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, January 6, 2005, in the Uniontown Hospital with his loving family at his side. He was born October 6, 1927, in Uniontown, Pa., the son of Andrew Adams and Anna Hardy Adams.
Frank was a member of Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown, General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 in Hopwood, Pa., and the Brick Layers Association. He graduated from the former South Union High School in the Class of 1945 and was a World War II Veteran who served in the United States Air Force.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Frank R. Adams Jr., brothers, Joseph Adams, Alfred Adams and Raymond Adams, and his parents.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Rose Marie Mosako Adams; his loving children: Ronald Adams and his wife, Christine, of Uniontown, Rose Fabery of Uniontown, James "Larry" Adams and his wife, Linda, of Uniontown, Thomas Adams and his wife, Anna, of Dubois, Pa., and Robert Adams of Uniontown; beloved grandchildren: William Orr, Thomas Adams, William Fabery, Jr., Rachel Adams and Kaitlyn Adams; great granddaughter, Emily Orr; brothers and sisters: John Adams and his wife, Helen, of McKeesport, Pa., Andrew Adams and his wife, Evelyn, of Townsend, Tennessee, Mary Ann Adams Polink of Uniontown, Stephen Adams and his wife, Judy, of Strongsville, Ohio, and Edward Adams and his wife, Sandy, of Lakewood, Ohio; his sister-in-law, Josephine Adams of Lakewood, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY III FUNERAL HOME AT 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, UNIONTOWN, Pa., today and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, January 10, until 8:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said. A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9 a.m. in Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, North Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, with the Rev. Father Micah Kozoil as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Saint Mary (Nativity) Cemetery, Uniontown, where Military Honors will be accorded at graveside by General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103, Hopwood. Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
