Christopher Daniel Elrod, 36, of Splendora, TX passed away on October 6, 2011. Chris was born on November 3, 1974 in Houston, TX and lived in Porter and Splendora, TX throughout his life.

Christopher is survived by his daughter, Sarah Michelle Elrod; his mother, Jane Elrod; his sister, Elizabeth 'Chelle' Elrod; his brothers, Mike and Jason Elrod; his brother-in-law, Richard Caldwell; his nieces Ashley Cheree Boggs, Jessica Caldwell, and Zoey Marie Elrod; his aunt and uncle Floyd and Suzi Jackson; along with numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Chris was preceded in death by his wife, Leila.
Chris was known for his uniqueness, his creativity, his artistic abilities, his love for stray animals and for taking care of his mother.

Chris will be laid to rest at the Cleveland City Cemetery at 225 Peach Street this Thursday October 13, 2011 at 10:00AM. Following the graveside service, there will be a Memorial Service at the First Baptist Church, Porter, TX to celebrate Chris' life.
