Hazel was married to Harold Russell Caplinger. She was married for 56 years when her husband Harold passed away. She is the daughter of Amos Levi Crabtree and Anna Choate.

GAINESBORO -- Graveside services for Hazel Crabtree Caplinger, 92, of Canton, Ohio, formerly of North Springs in Jackson County, will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15, at Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m.-3:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro.

Mrs. Caplinger died Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, in Laurels of Canton in Canton, Ohio.

She was born November 3, 1919, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Amos Crabtree and Anna Choate Crabtree. On April 29, 1944, she was married to the late Harold Caplinger. She was a retired beautician and homemaker. She was a member of the West Side Church of Christ in Akron, Ohio, and the Walton Chapel Church of Christ in Lafayette, TN.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: Vernon Vestle Crabtree, Bernard, Roy, and Robert Davis Crabtree; and 2 Sisters: Jewell Keith and Laurine Sadler.

Survivors include 1 Daughter: Janet Caplinger of Canton, Ohio; and 1 Special Niece: Pam Walrond of Lafayette, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive.

Bro. Jeff Blackwell will officiate at the services.

Hazel Caplinger was an incredible genealogist and her input and contributions to the Choate Family History will sadly be missed by many who had the privilege to work with her.
