She was a Mother of Five Children, Known are Vera Mae Born Dec. 1916 Woodstock, Ardell b. 1921 Little River, Cherokee, and all children were born and raised in Cherokee County, Ruby Lee Dickerson-Jones b. 1924, James Marion Dickerson b. 1928 and Barbara Ann Dickerson-Banks.

She Married Luther O. Dickerson, a Son of Confederate Soldier Thomas D. Dickerson and Nancy E. Dobbs.

Fondly remembered by her Grandchildren as "Mamma Dixon", made best Chicken and Dumplings, Homeade Ice Cream. A True Southern Lady.

She was a daughter of Sarah Ann and William T. McCollum of Cherokee County.
