Obituary:
Jean M. Snow, 87, of South Beloit, IL, quietly entered on a new journey on Sunday, October 9, 2011 in Beloit Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born June 24, 1924 in Edmonton, County of Middlesex the daughter of Alfred J. and Mildred Eleanor (Unwin) Addicott. Jean was stationed in Belishley Park, England during WWII where she was a cook in the Royal English Navy "REN". She met her American husband Clifford G. Snow and became his war bride on July 15, 1944 in London, England. He predeceased her on August 9, 1988. Jean was employed by the Wagon Wheel, Candy's Kitchen and Fair Oaks Health Care Center. She was a very proud and gracious lady. Jean enjoyed spending time with family and prepared many beautiful holiday gatherings. She loved all animals especially her beloved dogs and birds. Jean also enjoyed traveling to England, Bahamas and Hawaii. She spent many days in the sun caring for her beautiful flower gardens. Jean loved her family dearly and we will all miss her greatly. Survivors she leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Jamie Cootware of Beloit, WI; her son, Garry B. (Jan Phillips) Snow of South Beloit, IL; grandchildren, Kilia (Mark) Priest of West Fork, AR, Kim (Hans) Peterson of Driggs, ID, Leann (Rick) Hanson and Rana (Jeremy) Wood both all of South Beloit, IL; great grandchildren; Elias and Lilly Priest, Tasha and Lindsey Ostrander, Maggie and Inger Peterson, Haley Hanson and Maddison Wood; one great-great grandson, Kelvin; cousins, Olive Holden , Karen, Mark, Ryan and Adam Goldspink-Burgess all of Harlow Essex, England; other extended family, the Flanigan's and Mahlum's; special friends, Richard and Delores Bruschi of South Beloit, IL She was predeceased by her parents, son, Bruce Clifford Snow and son-in-law, Butch Cootware. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2011 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI. Jean's service will be conducted by Richard Bruschi. Burial will be in Rockton Cemetery, Rockton, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday in the funeral home.
