Frank William Holder, 66, of Colbert, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2011 at Texoma Medical Center, Denison, Texas. Frank was born on April 21, 1945 in Cartwright, Oklahoma to Walter and Gladys Holder. He married Carol Jones on March 7, 1965 in Sherman, Texas and to this union three children were born.
He was a lifetime resident of Bryan county, a member of Southside Baptist Church, Denison, He worked at Levi Strauss and later Sonoco Company which he retired from in 2003. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and all outdoor activities. Frank's family was the love of his life and that love was returned to him.
He is survived by his wife Carol of the home; two daughters, Tamy Dillard and husband Greg of Purcell, Oklahoma, Tana Jewel and husband Robert of Colbert; son Tommy Holder and wife Melissa of Colbert; grandchildren Aaron and Alyssa Dillard, H.R. and Carlee Jewel, Jordon, Madison, Tate, and Marissa Holder; sister Lena Doris Westberry and husband Al of Colbert, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Charlie Holder; sisters Mitzi Stanglin, June Ham, Joyce Noack and Lois Reese Wall.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday July 19, 2011 at Southside Baptist Church, Denison. Funeral service will be held at Southside Baptist Church. Bro. Keith Taylor will officiate. Pallbearers will be Steve Reese, Rickie Reese, Wayne Westberry, Ronnie Westberry, Chuck Holder, Mike Wright and Toby Turpen.
Arrangements are under the direction of American Funeral Service, Colbert.
