He was born May 18, 1928, in Tomahawk, Arkansas, to the late Henry Lynn and Audra Ellen Adams. He was also preceded in death by a son, Edward Lee Adams, brothers, Guy Adams, his twin, Herschel Adams, Ernest Adams, and by a sister, Edith Terrell.
Following high school, Mr. Adams went to Chicago and began working for W.W. Granger. He was transferred to St. Louis and there he met the love of his life, Alzena. He retired as a warehouse manager after 39 years and was a member and deacon at Sunny Gap Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alzena Adams; son, Lynn Adams and wife Linda of Little Rock; daughter, Diana Mendoza of Conway; grandchildren, Nickey Hokams, Sandra Smith, Audra Smith, Codie Burin, and Ruth Brohm; and great-grandchildren, Makayla Adams, Mackenzie Mendoza, Austen Hokams, Alex Parks, William Naranjo, Stevie Phillips, Alexis Smith, Shelby Barker, and John Daniel Barker.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 8, at Griffin Leggett Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Johnny Harrington officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery in Alexander
