Verne Rinearson

VAN WERT - Verne L. Rinearson, 68, of 401 Burt Street, Van Wert, died at 12 p.m. Monday in Van Wert County Hospital following a heart attack.

He was born Nov. 4, 1891 in Huntington County, Indiana, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Rinearson.

His wife, Florence, died in 1956.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Martha Esper of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; one brother, Marvin Rinearson, Marion, Ind.; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Surber of Barber Lake, Ind.; and one grandchild.

Mr. Rinearson was a retired hostler for the Cincinnati Northern railroad, and had been a school crossing guard.

He attended the Wesley Methodist Church.

He was active in Democratic circles, and was a member of Brotherhood of Locomotive Trainmen.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Alspach Funeral Home, with Rev. Dale Riggs officiating.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Van Wert.

Friends may call at the funeral home.
