George Darling

GILBOA - George Darling, 73, died in the home of his sister, Mrs. Lela Berry, Toledo, at 6 a.m. Sunday from a heart attack after an illness of four years.

He was born March 12, 1885 in Blanchard Township, Putnam County, he was a son of Lum and Mary Catherine (Harden) Darling.

He never married.

Surviving are a brother, Ross of Alliance; three sisters, Mrs. Allie Kantz of Alliance, Mrs. Gertrude Meyers of Cleveland and Mrs. Berry; two nieces, Mrs. Dan Green of Mt. Cory and Mrs. Virgil Bixler of Pandora. Two sisters, Mrs. Blanche McDowell and Mrs. Zella Williams, are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Eggleston Funeral Home, on the east side of Toledo. Services will be held at 2 p.m. in the Gilboa Methodist Church. Rev. Vogel, pastor of the Euncili Ave. Methodist Church, will officiate.

Burial will be in Harman Cemetery.
