Baptized at Kingston Lisle, December 20, 1595, which parish was one of the residences of his mother's Hyde family.
Edward Bridges, esquire, of Keynsham, Somerset, died testate with a will dated Nov. 7, 1638, naming his eldest son Thomas as executor, but a codicil was added on Apr. 24, 1639 making his daughter Philippa his executrix, stating that "Thomas, my eldest son, beyond the seas." But it was Thomas who had the will proved on Aug. 22, 1639 [P.C.C. 143 Harvey].

Gravesite Details The entry of his burial in the register is partially mutilated but definitely dates to 1639.
