A native of Cortland, Mr. Potter also lived in Binghamton and Syracuse before moving to the Phoenix area in 1951. He retired in 1976 as a machinist with General Electric Co.
Mr. Potter was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Mary A,; a son, Alan T. of Graham, Wash.; two daughters, Marjorie A. Potter of Galveston, Texas, and Kathleen A. Keller of Canton; a sister, Elizabeth Thompson of North Syracuse; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a niece; and several cousins.
Services were Feb. 22 at Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, Phoenix, the Rev. Roger C. Bell officiating. Burial will be in Cortland Rural Cemetery.
