June E. Davidson, 86, of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Summerville Hillen Vale Nursing Home, Mt. Vernon, Ohio. She was born June 4, 1924 in Camden Twp., and lived most of her life in Lorain County, having moved to Mt. Vernon in 2007.
She worked at the Lorain County Recorders Office for 10 years and later at EMH, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Kipton Community Church and then First United Methodist Church of Oberlin, Pythian Sisters, Oberlin Chapter of ARRP and Oberlin Soccer Center. June enjoyed cooking, playing the piano, needlework, reading and traveling with her sister.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret D. Boushka of Arlington, Virginia; nieces, Ellen D. Divelbiss of Fredricktown, Ohio, Carol D. Lowitt of Falls Church, Virginia; nephews, John W. Boushka of Arlington, Virginia, Wilbur L. Davidson, Jr. of Arlington, Virginia and William B. Davidson of Washington, D.C. and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, William D. Davidson; mother, Helen A. Peters; brothers, Donald P. Davidson, Wilbur L. Davidson, and Leonard J. Davidson; sister, Frances D. Bullis, and one infant sister.
Graveside services will be Thursday, October 14, 2010, 11 A.M. at Camden Cemetery with Rev. James Ellison of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at Camden Cemetery, Camden Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to www.cowlingfuneralhomeus.com.
