Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on December 1, at the funeral home. Pastor Sharon Phillips of the Jesus Mission will officiate the service. Casket bearers will be Matt Hubbs, Andrew Stott, Kendall Cassidy, Casey Blain, Tony Blundy, and Michael Phillips. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 1, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Susan Stott.
Charles was born on November 18, 1927, in Washington, the son of David and Pearl Talley Hubbs. He married Edith Darlene Baur on August 20, 1949, in Muscatine. She preceded him in death on April 1, 1993.
He worked at Kent Feeds for 13 years.
Charles was a member of the Eagles Lodge.
He loved to fish, play cards, was an avid football fan, and enjoyed making wood toys in his workshop.
He is survived by his son, Raymond Hubbs, of Muscatine; two daughters Susan Stott and husband, Jerry, of Grandview, and Carol Cassidy of Muscatine; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two sisters, Louise Phillips of Muscatine and Jessie Howard of Muscatine.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; four brothers; and three sisters.
