Services 10 A.M. Tuesday, October 12, Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Hone for Funeral and Cremation Services. Visitation; 4-7 P.M. Monday, Muscatine, Iowa
Beverly Alma Honts, 79, of Muscatine, passed away Friday, October 8, 2010, at Trinity of Muscatine.
Casketbearers will be Joe Honts, Tanner Honts, Lee Honts, Dale Honts III, Brenton Montagna and Steven Crowder. Honorary casketbearers will be Gary Lowe, Doug Buster, Jeff Murphy, Matt Montagna and Vaun McGrew.
Memorials may be directed to Hospice compassus and Lutheran Homes in her name.
Following the interment a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Community room.
Mrs. Honts was born January 4, 1931 in Muscatine, the daughter of Rex L. and Ulah V (Kirk) McGrew. She married Dale S. Honts, Sr. December 3, 1948 in Muscatine.
She was employed at J and K Button Factory for 12 years. she was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and the Ladies of the Moose. she will be deeply missed by her four sons, Kenneth Honts and wife Sandi of New Boston, IL, Michael Honts of Rock Island, IL, Rickey Honts and wife Giulia of Fruitland and Jon Honts and wife Robin of Muscatine.14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild; brothers Kenneth McGrew of Muscatine and Dennis McGrew and wife Diane of Davenport; sisters Barbara Buster and husband Ralph, Marilyn Lowe and Pam Rudolp all of Muscatine and Linda Murphy of Conesville.
she was preceded in death by her parents; a son Dale Honts, Jr. a daughter Shirley Harris and a graddaughter.
