Robert Dale Hafner, 75, of Letts, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2002 at the Colonial Manor Care Center in Columbus Junction. Services are Monday, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home in Muscatine. LETTS, Iowa. Pallbearers are Mike Hafner Sr., Greg Hafner, Jerry Jacobs, Chet Hafner, Gary Hafner, and James Hafner. Burial will be at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Cedar Crest Country Club.

Mr. Hafner was born March 26, 1927, in Letts, the son of H. Lester and June Marie (McDaniel) Hafner. He married Beverly Johnson Feb. 18, 1950 in Cambridge, Ill. He was a member of the Letts United Methodist Church, the Grandview and Letts Lions Club, Cedar Crest Country Club, Columbus City Masonic Lodge and the Elks Lodge #304 of Muscatine.

Survivors include his son, Andrew Hafner of Letts; his brother Byron Hafner of Letts; his sister-in-law Jean Hafner of Morning Sun; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Beverly in 2001; his daughter Lisa Hafner in 1991; his brother Harry Hafner in 1986; and his sister Adelia Klipstein.
