Rodney L. Crombie, 51, died Wednesday at Muscatine General Hospital.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Fri-day at George M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, Muscatine.

Mr. Crombie was principal at Midland School, Wyoming. He married Wanda Webber in 1973 near Strawberry Point. His memberships included Order of Eastern Star, Wapello; Masonic Temple in Edgewood; Phi Delta Kappa, Educational Fraternity; and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5283, Hartington, Neb. He was a fan of Iowa women's basketball team and a trout fisherman. A memorial fund has been established.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Tracy Harms, Des Moines; a grandson; sisters, Virginia Dooley, Sioux City; and Marlene Otoupalik, Lincoln, Neb.; and nieces and nephews.
