Ernest G. Ackman, 66, died at 10:35 p. m. Monday, Aug. 1, 1966 in Mercy hospital, Davenport, of a short illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday at the Ralph J. Wittich funeral home. The Rev. Ralph Fischer will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home starting Wednesday morning.
Mr. Ackman was a native of Macomb, Ill., and the son of William and Emma Green Ackman. He was born May 3. 1900, and lived on route 1, Illinois City, for eight years. He and Rebecca Reddick were married May 18, 1957, in Muscatine, He was a Baptist.
Surviving are his wife; three daughters, nine step - children, one brother, 14 grandchildren and one great - grandchild.
His parents, one sister and one brother are deceased.
