Corporal, Company C, 7th US Cavalry. Killed in action by Sioux Indians at Custer's Last Stand, along with all of the other soldiers in that column.

He enlisted on 18 December 1872 in New York City, giving his previous occupation as Laborer. He had gray eyes, dark hair, fair complexion and was 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He was killed on Last Stand Hill, along with all of the soldiers of Custer's Column, and was initially buried where he fell. In 1878, the bodies of the soldiers were removed from their field burials and reinterred in a mass grave at the top of Last Stand Hill, where his body remains today. He was not married.
