David Fiske Dwight was a merchant at Jackson, Mich., for many years (1824-51, except 4 years of the time, 1840-44, spent at Boston, in the wholesale dry goods trade), and afterwards at Detroit, Mich. (1851-66). Beginning in 1866 he resided at Boston, Mass.
He was married 20 Oct. 1845 to Lucretia Smith Howe (b. Sept. 25, 1825, dau. of the Rev. James Blake Howe of Claremont, N. H., and Mary White, dau. of Ebenezer White of Boston and Polly Bell).
