ALFRED CARTER'S FUNERAL
The funeral of Alfred Carter, the brakeman who was killed Friday evening at Saffordville, was held yesterday morning at 10 o'clock, at the family home. Rev. Neal conducted a short service at the house for the benefit of those who could not accompany the body to the Cottonwood church, five miles west of town. At that place the service was also conducted by Rev. Neal. He spoke on the biography of the deceased.
The interment was made in the Cottonwood cemetery. A large number of people were present; the railroad men came in a goodly number.
Six of Mr. Carter's fellow workers were chosen as pall bearers. They were W. H. Hall, S. A. Littlejohn, H. Gates, L. Lightner, A. S. Hatfield and R. Martin.
