79, a resident of Tucson
for 24 years
24 years and
widely known here, died last night
at his residence, 1118 East Elm
street.
He was born in Mercer county,
Ky., and was appointed a colonel
on the staff of the governor of the
state.
A deacon in the First Baptist
church, Curd was active in. religious
work..
Besides his widow, Mrs. Minnie
M. Curd, he is survived by three
sons, Munday, of Tucson, Price W.,
of Buckeye, and Maj. John P., of
Camp Campbell, Ky.; one daughter,
Mrs. Arthur Stearns, Tucson; two
sisters, Mrs. Dee King and Mrs.
Ally Campbell, Burgin, Ky.; one
brother, John R. of Danville, Ky.;
and eight grandchildren.
Funeral Monday
Funeral services will be in the
First Baptist church at 4 p. m.
Monday, Rev. Richard S. Beal officiating.
Burial will be in South Lawn
Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be C. A. Carson,
E. W. Fickett, Verne Evans, Freeman
Woods, Frank Dawson, and
Walter Hafley. Honorary pallbearers
will be J. E. Treat, J. C.
Johnson, and G. W. Atwater.
Arrangements are in charge of
the Arizona mortuary.
