Died 7:30 a.m. Friday, April 3, 1987, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 73, a native of Winnfield and resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired Copolymer Rubber & Chemical Corp. engineering department manager. Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home, 1 p.m. until religious services at 3 p.m. Saturday, conducted by Dr. George Haile. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
Survived by wife, Marie Durham Brewer; two daughters, Amanda Brewer Butler, Ponchatoula, and Bertha Brewer Narozniak, Paducah, Ky.; a son, John F. Brewer Jr., Dallas, Texas; a sister, Minerva Neilson, Houston, Texas; two brothers, Frank C. Brewer, Houma, and James H. Brewer, Salem, Ore.; and five grandchildren, Bryan Butler, Conley and Lauren Narozniak, Johnand Jake Brewer.
He was a member of University Baptist Church, American Institute of Chemical Engineers and Louisiana Engineering Society. He was a graduate of LSU. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to University Baptist Church.
