She first married Silas Smith Genter on May 26, 1888 in Mannsville, New York. They had three children - Nellie, George, and Fred.
Silas passed away on March 20, 1898.
She then married John F Johnson later that same year.

Black River, June 24. - Mrs. Cora Johnson, 65, wife of John F. Johnson of Leraysville, died at Black River Hospital at 6:10 p.m. Saturday. She had been troubled with a heart ailment for about four years and had been a patient at the hospital for two weeks.
She was born at Three Mile Bay July 20, 1874, the daughter of Nathaniel and Nancy Casselman Cheever. He first husband, Silas Genter, died many years ago, and in 1898 she was married to Mr. Johnson. They resided at Carthage and Black River, moving to Leraysville 6 years ago (1934).
Besides her husband, she is survived by a son; George Genter of Great Bend; two daughters, Mrs. John (Ruth) Kirk of Liverpool and Mrs. Vernon (Vera) Jewett of Calcium. There are also nine grandchildren.
The body was removed to Sweet's funeral rooms and the funeral will be held at the Calcium church Tuesday at 2 p.m. (E.D.T.) Rev. W. A. Williams of Felts Mills officiating. Burial will be in the Calcium cemetery.
