NORTON
Mrs. America Frances Norton, widow of the late Mr. Henry Norton, died Friday at the home of her brother, Mr. T. C. Woods, at Mayo, where she made her home. She was born in 1841 and for the past twelve months had been ill with complications incident to age. She was a superior woman, of many fine Christian traits and her life has been a lesson in Christian activity. She had been a member of the Baptist church for 39 years and her funeral was held at Hopewell by Rev. W. D. Moore, the remains being taken to Providence for interment. She leaves a step-daughter, Mrs. George Johnson, of Harrodsburg, and five brothers and one sister, all of this county. They are Messrs. T. C., John, James, W. A. and W. D. Woods, and Mrs. Prue Dedman.
