VIRGINIA BEACH - Raymond L. Craig, 69, passed away peacefully July 13, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Born April 29, 1942 to the late Joseph and Hazel Craig; he was born and raised on a family farm off Bonney Road and Kentucky Avenue in Princess Anne County. Mr. Craig was a master craftsman with the VBCPS for more than 20 years and was a manager with Food Fair and Pantry Pride for 30 years. He was a man with a huge heart that had a smile and a helping hand for any of his many friends or anyone in need. Anyone that met Raymond instantly loved him and became a friend. He would gladly give anyone the shirt off his back. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed. Left to cherish his memory is: the love of his life, his childhood sweetheart and devoted wife of 47 years, Carol Craig; a daughter, Michelle Craig; granddaughter, Kaitlyn Craig; sister, Rita Leser; and brother, Earl Craig. He was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Donald Craig. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, July 17, at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 18, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
