Zeda Railton Eaton Wiehardt, 87, of Fayette, and formerly of Harrisburg, passed away Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at Boone Hospital Center. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, at Carr-Yager Funeral Home in Fayette, with visitation from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Harrisburg Cemetery. Zeda was born Feb. 9, 1924, in Boone County, a daughter of William Edward and Ada Richards Railton. She was a graduate of Harrisburg High School, where she excelled at basketball. She married Wendell Fred "Jack" Eaton on May 15, 1945, and he preceded her in death in 1974. On March 19, 1983, she married Carlie Wiehardt, and he also preceded her in death in 2007. Zeda and her twin sister, Theda, owned and operated the Vogue Beauty Shop in Fayette for 36 years. Together, they also established the Vogue Retirement Residence for assisted living. She was a member of Harrisburg Christian Church, where she had served as superintendent, board secretary and taught Sunday school. For many years, she led the Harrisburg Senior Citizens, was a 4-H leader and was chaplain for the VFW Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed yard work and her flowers and loved watching Mizzou Tigers basketball. She was well-known by many through her rental properties and generous heart. Zeda, more than anything else, enjoyed her family. She is survived by one son, William Lowell Eaton and wife Suzie of Harrisburg; one daughter, Debra Thea Eaton Drane and husband Danny of Armstrong; four grandchildren, Lowell Scott Eaton and wife Kimberly, Jacqueline Michelle Eaton Wardrip and husband Jeff, all of Harrisburg, and Ryan Thomas Drane of Springfield and Amber Rozeda Drane of Liberty. She leaves behind four precious great-grandchildren, Lydia Kay, Vivian Zeda, Audrey Jacqueline Eaton and Bender Scott Wardrip. Also surviving are two siblings, Theda Railton Stidham of Fayette and John William "Billy" Railton of Sturgeon. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Duhn and Jean St. Clair.
