John Robert Kramer Sr., 81, of Danville died at 5:05 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 6, 2011 at Veterans Affairs Illiana Health Care System, Danville.
He was born Aug. 26, 1930 in Danville to Fred J. and Helen M. Coombs Kramer. They preceded him in death.
He married Theresa D. Russian on Feb. 11, 1956 in Westville. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, John R. Jr. (Sharon) Kramer of Danville and Michael E. (Cathie) Kramer of Danville; one granddaughter, Alika M. Kramer; a sister, Mary Kay (Strebing) Pribble of Danville and many nieces and nephews.
He served in the 1st Infantry Division of the U.S. Army and stationed in Kissingen, Germany.
