SAVANNAH - Sara Jane (Jannie) Anderson Boyette, 96, died October 7, 2011, under the care of Hospice Savannah. Mrs. Boyette was born in Bulloch County on August 13, 1915, the daughter of the late William David and Sallie Jane Bowen Anderson. She lived most of her life in Savannah and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the widow of Morrison Boyette and was of the Baptist faith. She showed her love for her family through her hard work, quiet strength, and constant supportive presence. She is survived by her son, Heyward Boyette (Pam) of Allendale, SC; daughter, Brenda Brown (Scott) of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Dr. Heyward Boyette Jr. (Tiffany) of Lexington, SC, Pamela Boyette of Plainsboro, NJ; sister, Hilda Thomas (Mrs. Joel) of Savannah, GA; two great-grandchildren, Kyra and Audrey Boyette; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2011, 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., at Fox and Weeks Funeral Home on Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA. A graveside service will be held later in the day, 3:30 p.m., at Old Anderson Church Cemetery in Tattnall County.
