~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mr. Ruben Boatright, familiarly known as Uncle Ruben, passed away Saturday, Sept. 16th, at 10 o'clock A.M. and was buried at Hawhammock Church Sunday afternoon.
He was 80 years of age and had been a member of the Missionary Baptist Church for more than 50 years. He was honored and respected by all who knew him, and we miss his familiar face from the streets, while he did not stay on the streets a great deal, usually coming into this office to get some papers to read.
He leaves a wife and four children, two sons and two daughters. Mr. M. M. Boatright, Lyons, Ga., Mr. Daniel Boatright, Valdosta, Ga., Mrs. Celia Joiner, Kiln, Ga., and Mrs. Mattie McMahon, Swainsboro, Ga.
Our sympathy goes out to the bereaved family.
