Mark Scott Renfro (1957 - 2011)

Mark Scott Renfro passed away Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at the age of 54. Service: 11 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church, 800 W. Fifth St., Fort Worth. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Pallbearers: Ford Renfro, Robbie Renfro, Randy Renfro, Frank Hartman, Chip Emms and Cameron Young. Honorary pallbearers: Clint Renfro, Clarke Renfro, Mac Simmons, Karl Biggs, Robert Graham, Ed Farmer Beggs, Gordon Harriman III, Doug King, John Craddock, Steve Renfro, Jimmy Otis and Justin Askins. Memorials: Contributions in memory of Mark may be made to Taylor's Gift Foundation (Be a Hero, Be an Organ Donor) at www.taylor'sgift.org, or ARF House Animal Refuge Foundation, 3377 Spalding Road, Sherman, Texas 75059.

Mark was born June 24, 1957, in Fort Worth, the son of Sandra and Ray Renfro. He was a graduate of Arlington Heights High School and attended Texas Christian University where he was a four-year letterman in football as a wide receiver. Mark was a loving and dedicated father to his daughters. His passion for sports and animals was an integral part of who he was and how he lived his life. Mark had an infectious smile that would light up any room. His devotion to his family and friends as well as his cheerful demeanor will always be remembered. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Ray Renfro.

Survivors: Daughters, Ashley Renfro of New York City, N.Y., Meredith Renfro of College Station and Jordan Renfro of Fort Worth; mother, Sandra Clarke Renfro of Fort Worth; brothers, Mike Renfro and wife, Denise, and their children, Klayton, Clint and Ford, of Southlake, and Mitch Renfro and his children, Courtney and Clarke, of Fort Worth; the mother of his children, Teresa Renfro of Fort Worth; and countless friends.
