Ora Everett "Pete" Beeson Obituary

Ora Everett "Pete" Beeson 93, of Wheat Ridge, Colorado passed away on October 1, 2011.

Pete was born in Ridgeway, Harrison County, Mo., on September 11, 1918. He was the ninth child of John Milton and Estella Mae Parrish Beeson. He and Neola Irene Davison married on November 20, 1940 and were for 70+ years. Pete and Neola had two children.

In 1937, Pete began working for the Union Pacific Railroad's operation based in Julesburg, Colorado. He later worked as a chief dispatcher for the company in North Platte, Nebraska before being promoted to assistant director of operation control in Omaha, Nebraska. He retired from the company in 1978. He attended Chillicothe High School and Chillicothe Business College in Chillicothe, Missouri.

Pete was a member of the First Church of The Nazarene where he served in many capacities, including leadership roles on both local and district levels. His love for God, family and church was very evident in all facets of his life. He taught by example from teaching his great grandson how to shake hands to his words of wisdom "keep looking up" and his wise interpretation of scripture.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents and son, Ronald Dean Beeson.
