On August 16, 1929 Lois Powers married Bevie Odell Pate in Shelby County, Texas. Bevie was the son of Dicy Modenia Peace and John Daniel Pate. To this union one son, Vernon Bevie Pate was born, June 23, 1930.
Lois and Bevie divorced March 16, 1931 in Shelby County, Texas. Later Bevie moved to Louisiana to be near his sister and her family.
Lois married #2 Willie "Bill" Adams and had one son, James W. Adams who was born May 30, 1932 and died July 10, 2002.
Lois died on Tuesday May 19, 1998 at age 83 in Timpson, Shelby County, Texas. Mangum Funeral Home conducted graveside services at 2:00 p.m., and burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Shelby County, Texas.
